A violin valued at £5,000 has been stolen from its case while its owner was performing at a theatre in Bath.

Police believe the antique Stradivarius copy may turn up at a car boot sale or an internet auction site.

Anyone who was at The Egg theatre in Bath on 6 June or is offered it for sale has been asked to contact police.
