Wyckoff Woman Drove Drunk On Route 208: Cops

The woman was driving erratically on the highway early Sunday morning, police said.

WYCKOFF, NJ — A township woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after finding her driving erratically on Route 208 early Sunday morning, police announced.

Officer John Tarantino responded to a 911 call about an erratic driver on Route 208 North at 2:37 a.m., said Chief Dean Ackermann.

Tarantino located the driver, Nicole Akellian, 27, of Wyckoff, and charged her with driving while intoxicated, Ackermann said. She was also issued summonses for reckless driving and making an unsafe lane change.

Akellian was taken to Glen Rock Police Department headquarters. She was released to the custody of a sober adult and her vehicle was impounded, the chief said.
