Tributes have been paid to a dinner lady and her daughter who were killed in their own home.

Elizabeth Edwards, 49, and her daughter Katie, 13, were found dead at at a semi-detached property in Spalding, Lincolnshire.

A teenage boy and girl, both aged 14, have appeared in Lincolnshire Youth court charged with double murder.

The pair are one of the youngest ever couples to be charged with murder.

Ms Edwards' partner, Graham Green, wrote on his Facebook page: "My babe has gone but you will always in my heart forever and ever and ever.

"I want them back to me and liz had so many plans to make. my love has gone and her daughter she was 13 both lives gone."

Ms Edwards, a committed Christian, lived at the address with teenagers Kim and Katie, two of her three daughters.

Her third daughter, Mary Cottingham, 27, said: "I’m still in shock, can’t believe they are gone. I love them so much, I need my mum.

"Gone too soon but will never be forgotten. I love you both."

A schoolfriend of Katie's, Amber Chuter, 14, said: "I’ve known Katie since we were four … When I saw on Facebook [that she’d died] I didn’t believe it at first.

"I couldn’t think how it would be true, then I just sat there crying … she was always smiling, carefree and happy, and sees the best in people."

Katie's father, Peter Edwards, who was separated from her mother, left a tribute on Facebook: "Katie the kisses I will give you I know you will feel.

"I will know you will feel me stroke your beautiful hair looking down upon me help me find strength.

"...Kiss your mum for me for she is your mum and for that is love my Beautiful baby love DAD."
