Illinois State Police look for Guatemalan suspect wanted in fatal crash

The Illinois State Police are asking for the public's help to locate a man wanted on a warrant in connection with a fatal crash. The crash happened on January 1, 2017, on westbound I-74 at milepost 182 in Champaign, Ill.

Police say 33-year-old Esteban Juarez-Tomas was charged with 2 counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid driver’s license, and improper lane usage (driving on the wrong side of roadway). Tomas is from Guatemala and is described as 5’5”, 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

His birthdate is September 8, 1983, but he has an alias date of birth of 10/16/83, 11/16/83 and multiple alias names including Estaban Tomas-Juarez, Edgar Gomez-Estrada, Tomas Estaban-Juarez and Victor Ochoa.

The Illinois State Police is working with the Department of Homeland Security, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Anyone with information is asked to contact ICE at 866-DHS-2ICE. (866-347-2423)
