Queen Anne’s girls lacrosse falls to South Carroll in state semifinals

PASADENA, Md.- Despite taking an 2-0 lead to start the game, Queen Anne’s girls lacrosse fell to South Carroll 13-5 in the state semi’s. The Golden Lions finished their season with a record of 12-2.

QA looked to have all of the momentum in the first five minutes of the game. Two Kylie Tulowitzky goals gave them the 2-0 lead. After a goal by the Cavaliers, the Lions would answer with a goal from Shannon Donovan to get it back to a two goal lead. After a South Carroll time out, the Cavaliers would go on to end the half on a 11-1 run taking the 11-3 halftime lead.

In the second half, the Lions would get a spark from Bella Rulapugh. Two more goals from her to cut the lead to six would just be too little too late. The Cavaliers would get one last goal on the free position by Paige Abbott, she had four on the night, would all but put this one away.
