CRYSTAL LAKE, IL - Police arrested a homeless woman this week who they say made off with a sack of cash from a locally owned bank where she initiated a "non-takeover" robbery.
Judy A. Persfull, 56, reportedly got more than a purse full when she entered Cary Bank & Trust, 60 E. Main St., at 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, according to Cary Police Department officials. She allegedly approached a teller and demanded money while placing a bag onto the counter.
"An undisclosed amount of U.S. currency was given to the suspect which she placed into the bag," police said. "The suspect did not display or infer that she had a weapon at any time. (She) then fled the bank westbound on foot and a brief description was broadcast to the responding units."
