Free agent offensive tackle Russell Okung is making his next visit, this time with the Steelers.

The free agent offensive lineman group saw the top ones get signed when the new NFL year started earlier this week. Offensive guard Jeff Allen went to the Houston Texans while offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz went to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The next one set to sign seems to be former Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle Russell Okung. He was part of the 2014 Super Bowl winners and the 2015 runner-ups. The Oklahoma State alumnus had been a steady presence for Seattle since being drafted in 2010 but is looking to cash in on his first free agent contract.

So far, Okung has visited with a handful of teams. The New York Giants, Seahawks, and Detroit Lions have all showed interest. None of them have been able to sign him, though.

According to NFL Network’s Michael Silver, Okung will be taking another visit, this time with the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is still with the Lions’ interest reportedly “high” on him.

The Steelers have been looking to beef up their offensive line for seemingly years. They have gone through plenty of combinations to try to protect quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. The results of this have been mixed as the 34-year-old seemingly is injured almost every season.

We’ll see if Okung signs with the Steelers over the next few days, or any of the other teams listed in the above tweet. He would be a solid fit for any of them.
