Ashton Kutcher and Adele
Adele may have have to take responsibility for Ashton’s new ‘tache

Ashton Kutcher has been sporting a quirky moustache for some months now but it turns out, his new look is actually a choice and not for a movie role.

And even better, he’s blaming his wife Mila Kunis and singer Adele for it.

The former Two And A Half Men star appeared on last night’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he confirmed the moustache isn’t for an upcoming film.

‘This is for real life. It’s kind of crazy. I never intended to have this. I don’t think I’d look good with it, but I’m keeping it,’ the actor explained.

You rock your moustache and be proud, Ashton. No doubt Bradley Cooper will be pleased to have another member of the fuzz club.

According to Ash, the moustache was born on the day of Adele’s 31st birthday party back in May when he and Mila were getting for the bash.

Mila, 36, told him the theme was 1970s New Year’s Eve, which seemed like the perfect theme for two stars of That ‘70s Show – or so you would think.

When they arrived for the festivities however, they stood out like sore thumbs as the theme was actually 1930s New Year’s Eve.

So you can bet the fashion looked a whole different in the ‘30s post-prohibition era.

Recalling the incident, Ashton told Fallon: ‘I’m like, “Oh, well, we were both on That ‘70s Show. I think we’ve got this, right?”

‘I’m looking in the mirror and I’ve got a beard going and I’m like, “Oh, I’m going ’70s ‘stache. It’s gonna happen”.’

He added: ‘I whittle everything down and it’s thin. I mean, it’s a high school boy trying to grow a moustache thin. But it looks great for the party.

‘I look like Burt Reynolds from Boogie Nights. What are you gonna be like, “I got the decade wrong?”

‘So I’m just playing it off like this is how I’m doing it these days. And I’m like, “What’s up Jay-Z, yeah this is my thing now!” It was really awkward.

Although it started off as an accident, all is not lost because fortunately Mila loves it now.
