Shoplifters Get Away, Later Crash In Woods: Clinton Police

Police are asking for help identifying two suspects they say crashed in the woods in Madison after shoplifting in Clinton earlier in the day

CLINTON, CT — Police are asking for help identifying two suspects accused of stealing more than $500 worth of items from Tommy Hilfiger and Nike Factory Store at Clinton Crossings on Oct. 20. When approached by police in the Clinton Crossing parking lot, the suspects took off at a high rate of speed and engaged the officers in pursuit, according to police. The pursuit was terminated shortly thereafter, police said.

The suspects’ vehicle later crashed in the woods in Madison and the suspects ran from the vehicle and weren’t found on the night of the incident, according to police. To sign up for Clinton breaking news alerts and more, click here.

The male suspect is described by police as a white male in his 40s, with a slim build, shaved head and a goatee. The female suspect described as a black female, dark shoulder length hair, medium build and approximately 5-feet, 5-inches tall.
