NEDROW, N.Y. -- Families across Nedrow woke up Saturday morning and discovered their car windows had been smashed.

The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office is investigating more than a dozen criminal mischief complaints in Nedrow, said Sgt. Jon Seeber, a sheriff's office spokesman. Car windows were shattered by vandals, he said.

Onondaga County 911 dispatch logs list at least 16 criminal mischief calls in Nedrow. On some streets, multiple cars were damaged.

Seeber said the vandalism happened overnight. South of Nedrow, the New York State Police are investigating a similar incident that happened overnight on Interstate 81 in LaFayette, Seeber said.

The vandalism spree remains under investigation.
