A man awaiting trial in the shooting death of his girlfriend earlier this year has been shot and killed at a party near Clayton.Johnston County sheriff's deputies told local media outlets that officers were called to a house around 3:30 a.m. Sunday and found Derrick Lester Williams of Wilson's Mills dead.Williams had been charged with second-degree murder after his girlfriend was killed when they were handling a gun in May.Sheriff's spokeswoman Tammy Amaon said no arrests have been made in Williams' death.Wilson's Mills police had arrested Williams on May 2 after he reported that 18-year-old Moesha Lockamy had been shot while they were playing with a gun.Williams had been scheduled for a hearing in Lockamy's death this week.
