Reward offered in crimes at casinos

Secret Witness is offering rewards in two recent crimes at casinos.

The first reward, $500, is for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a suspect in connection with a burglary at the Carson Nugget Casino in Carson City.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident, which happened around 11:18 p.m. Oct 6. The suspect entered the Carson Nugget, made his way through the casino, broke into a lock box and stole about $1,600.00 in $1 tokens and coins, according to a Secret Witness press announcement. The lock box was positioned in the center of an island of slot machines, which the suspect used as cover as he used a Kobalt brand pry bar to break into the box. The suspect removed four bags of tokens or coins, put them into a backpack and fled. Carson City Sheriff's Office has surveillance photos of the suspect.

The second reward, $1,500, is for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of suspects wanted in connection with the armed robbery of Bob and Lucy's Casino, 1515 Oddie Blvd. in Sparks.

On Sept. 25 at about 4:40 a.m., Sparks Police Department responded to an armed robbery at Bob and Lucy's. A suspect entered the business and produced a handgun. The suspect bound the victim and took an undisclosed amount of cash from several cash redemption machines and the register, according to a Secret Witness press announcement.

There was a second suspect involved in the robbery. The authorities are looking to question someone described as a white male adult wearing shorts and a checkered flannel shirt who was in the business just before the robbery. The first suspect is described as a white male adult, with long blonde hair, possibly a wig, wearing blue jeans, denim jacket, cowboy hat and boots. The second robbery suspect is heavily concealed in a heavy jacket with a hood and dark pants. The Sparks Police Department has photographs available for all of the person of interest and suspects.
