Cheboygan boys' soccer team loses all three games at Ogemaw Heights tournament

WEST BRANCH — The Cheboygan varsity boys’ soccer team dropped three contests at the Ogemaw Heights Invitational held in West Branch on Saturday.

The Chiefs (5-7) opened up the tournament with a 5-1 loss to Standish-Sterling, followed by a pair of 2-1 losses to Houghton Lake and Ogemaw Heights.

For Cheboygan, Anthony LaLonde scored the lone goal against Standish, while Derek Vieau scored against Houghton Lake, and Parker Beauchamp added a goal against Ogemaw Heights.

Standish-Sterling won the tournament title on Saturday.

Cheboygan will travel to Burt Lake to take on Northern Michigan Christian Academy today at 5 p.m.
