A 21-year-old man visiting from Brazil was hit and killed by a train in Brockton on Saturday afternoon.Brockton police Jonnas Nunes Carvalho was one of three men crossing the tracks near the train station behind Brockton Police Headquarters on Commercial Street when he was hit by the train.Investigators said they interviewed the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority conductor who said he saw the men trying to cross in front of the train, and activated the train's bell and whistle and applied the emergency brakes, but Carvalho was hit and killed.
