If only the timing were better.
“[It’s] a shame I’m about 40 years older than she is,” Larry David said at last weekend’s New Yorker Festival when asked about Jennifer Lawrence‘s crush on him, reports Time.
In an interview with Vanity Fair last week, the “Hunger Games” star revealed her longstanding love for the “Seinfeld” co-creator.
“Do you like ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’?” she asked the interviewer. “Do you like Larry David? I’m in love with him, and I have been for a really long time.”
“I worship Woody Allen, but I don’t feel it below the belt the way I do for Larry David,” Lawrence added.
As alluring as the idea may be, David joked that he wasn’t sure he was up to the task.
“I don’t think I could do it,” he said. “On one hand it’s very flattering, and on another hand, it’s kind of a shame — in terms of timing. I’d have fun watching the reality show of it, though.”
Chris Martin can breathe a sigh of relief.
