Michael Schumacher Condition Latest News Update: Recovering Slowly, Was GoPro Camera Really Responsible For Brain Damage?

Mick Schumacher, the son of F1 legend Michael Schumacher confirmed that his father is slowly recovering from his medically induced coma after he suffered severe head injuries from a skiing accident in the French Alps last December.

The F1 legend spent six critical months of care at a hospital in France, and is currently being treated at his home in Switzerland.

The recent updates about the slow pace recovery of the F1 legend were provided by the younger Schumacher to French F1 commentator Jean-Louis Moncet.

The Frenchman mentioned that the injury was not from the hit, but from the Go Pro camera on his helmet that injured Schumacher's brain, which he clarified as his opinion in his Twitter post.

"Although things are going at a slow pace, he has a lot of time, I would say he has his whole life in front of him to get back on track," he said.

The veteran driver is cared for by a team of 15 medical experts at a specially built medical suite in his Swiss mansion, where he is still fighting to get better.

Mick Schumacher is poised to follow in his father's footsteps. He took second place at the karting world championships in September and won second place in the German junior kart championships last week.

He started racing using his mother's maiden name and now he has changed it to Schumacher Jr.

On a side note, Ferrari boss Jean Todt gave a couple of encouraging words about Schumacher's condition.

He said, that, we must assume that Schumacher can lead a relatively normal life again within a short period of time.

He also added that, we can say he can probably never drive a Formula 1 car again, but he is fighting to get his life back.
