After 'The Hunger Games' dominated most of the individual awards, it wasn't much of a surprise to see the Best Movie at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards go to...'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2'?...

In the battle of whose fans could reign supreme, MTV viewers voted for 'Twilight' over 'The Hunger Games' as the Best Movie. Best Movie one of the few categories left that MTV allowed fans to vote for with many of the others being chosen by MTV's pseudo-Academy of voters that would choose. The idea was that this would allow for more suspense and less domination by movies like 'The Hunger Games' and 'Twilight.'

Didn't exactly work.

Jodie Foster was presented the Best Movie award to her one-time 'Panic Room' star Kristen Stewart and the rest of the cast (minus Rob Pattinson). She got on stage and quickly handed the Golden Popcorn to Taylor Lautner. (Wait, if he was there, why didn't he come and bail out K-Stew during the Best Kiss presentation?)

Stewart got up to the mic and said, "Thank you so much, you guys," and if that sounds like she always says the same thing, she realizes that too and admitted she always says the same thing.

Lautner got up and had some words for the screeching audience himself and he thanked the loyal and dedicated Twi-hards and the cast and crew for all their work over the four films in the franchise.

So another MTV Movie Awards and another Best Movie trophy goes to 'Twilight.' Was it deserving or should another film get a chance to win?
