'Seeing this is magical!' Pregnant Cara de la Hoyde gushes about her growing baby as she unveils scan snapshot on social media

At five months pregnant, she's currently excitedly preparing for motherhood after conceiving a child with her now ex-boyfriend Nathan Massey.

And Cara de la Hoyde, 27, appeared eager to share that joy on Thursday night, when she took to her Instagram to upload a snapshot of her baby scan.

'Seeing this is literally magical I can't explain it [sic],' she captioned the black-and-white image, which garnered almost 50,000 likes in just three hours.

The former Love Island star's post came just hours after she was spotted outside London's ITV Studios looking happy and relaxed.

Brunette beauty Cara wowed in a pale pink ruffled minidress and a pair of white studded sandals as she exited the grounds sporting a radiant smile.

In a recent interview with MailOnline, the brunette beauty revealed that she's refusing to rule out a reunion with Nathan, insisting that anything is possible.

Cara, who won the show last year with Nathan, said: 'Love Island was amazing, I met someone I'm really glad I met. Things aren't the way I planned but I'm really glad we're having this baby together.' 

Cara admits that her busy life after winning the show and becoming famous took its toll on her relationship with Nathan.  

Despite this she refused to rule out a reunion sometime down the road. 

'That's not to say in time something couldn't happen ever,' she continued. 'With us if we were ever to get back together it would happen naturally - it would be over time and with the baby coming it's perfect as it is.'

Cara and Nathan were firm fan favourites during their stint on the show. But while other couples, like best friend Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen, went from strength to strength, for Cara the wheels soon came off and the couple decided to split. 

She said: 'The island is so amazing, you'll always have these memories and if you have got someone in there that you're close to, or have a relationship with, it does make you really strong. But at the same time you don't really know each other. 

'After you leave you get caught up in such a whirlwind of press and events and working together that once you come out you still haven't had any time to actually get to know one and other!' the Love Island winner said.

Adding: 'If Nathan and I had taken our time a bit more we'd be in a very different situation.' 

Turning her attention to the future, Cara revealed: 'With me and Nathan we still both love each other and always will. But at the moment with the baby on the way its not the right time to be together.

'Living and working together under the spotlight puts such a strain on relationships,' she explained.

Nathan and I we talk most days so everything is great. We're going to bring this baby into the world together and the way the relationship is at this moment, it's perfect.'

Explaining what they'll both be like as parents, Cara admitted that Nathan would definitely be the fun one.

'I have no idea how it'll go because Nathan is a big kid. He's gonna be the fun one who gives the child loads of sugar and chocolate and I'll be the one saying no, no, no you can't have that.'

Adding: 'We find the sex of the baby in the next couple of weeks - I just want it to be healthy - we've had so many losses in my family that I just want a healthy baby to give our family some happiness.'

But when it comes to what Nathan wants, she knows how that sporty Nathan would be over the moon with a son. 

'Boys always wants a little boy and Nathan loves his boxing and loves to go to football. But if it's a girl then she'll be daddy little's girl!'

'Nathan really reminds me of Kem. Kem IS Nathan - they're both cheeky chappies, they're both from Essex, they've got that long floppy hair,and they're both 5ft 6!'

While she also thinks that feisty Amber models herself on last year's fan favourite Kady McDermott.

'A lot of people have said Amber is Kady - I would agree with that to an extent but I think Amber is actually trying to be Kady.

'Their mannerisms and even to an extent their relationship. Her and Scotty had their ups and downs and obviously so have Kem and Amber.'

Although she does have high hopes for Marcel and Gabby, the new power couple at the heart of the villa this year.

'The only couples that have the potential to last are Marcel and Gabby.  They're the only two I'd put money on to last if they both really put effort in it - with the rest either don't see the effort or the sincerity in their relationships.'
