Johnston Police Charge Teen With Vandalism At Johnston High

Police say the teen tore up a field next to the parking lot early Sunday.

JOHNSTON, RI —Police arrested a Providence teen Sunday morning shortly after midnight and charged him with vandalism. According to the arrest report, Mark Dwayne Bunch, 18, Providence, was driving a black Sport Utility Vehicle around Johnston High School. Police heard the engine revving, went to investigate and found Bunch in the car splashed with mud and grass. They also found deep ruts in the grass next to the school parking lot.

Bunch is being charged with vandalism and possession of marijuana, first offense, police said. He was released with a summons and is due in court on Nov. 29.
