Katy Perry Goes Barbie Pink, Debuts New Shoe Line At QVC x FFANY

Singer Katy Perry had a blast promoting her new shoe collection at the QVC X FFANY Gala and talked about aiding the fight against cancer.

Katy Perry stopped by the 25th Anniversary of QVC Presents FFANY "Shoes on Sale Gala" to talk about cancer awareness and research. The pop-star also promoted her new shoe line from the Katy Perry Collection, even sporting a pair herself.

The FFANY initiative has raised over $55 million for breast cancer research, with stars like Perry advocating their mission.

Katy Perry is here! And she looks gorgeous!


8:38 p.m.
She is wearing a Galia Lahav sequined chiffon jumpsuit called 'Shirley Temple' which is paired with a long chiffon skirt.


8:39 p.m.
A reporter asks her about her outfit tonight.
"You know me; I love a theme! And it's pink, for cancer awareness," says Katy.
"These are my shoes; it's Katy Perry Collection. I started my own line about two years ago. And last night I got on QVC for the very first time. That's a dream come true because it's about entrepreneurship, talking to real customers, having a real connection. It was like online shopping with a best friend. It was so much fun."

"My shoes are very quirky, personality pieces, we call them 'Conversation Starters'" she says.

A reporter asks her: "What are the perfect shoes for a concert?"
"From my collection, it's 'Lena' which is named after Lena Dunham who I love so much. And they come in a variety, they are basically cool sneakers, but they have sequins all over them. So it's a sparkle on your feet!" says Katy.

When asks why cancer awareness is important to her, she says:
"I lost my aunt who I never got to really know because of breast cancer and I have a friend who is in her twenties and just had a double hysterectomy, and I have another friend that is fighting for her life right now from cancer! Let's find a cure! FFANY was able to donate 55 Million dollars, and that helped millions of people!"

Katy Perry talks about using her celebrity status for good: "I think if you have such a big spotlight, it's important to shine it on something that gives some hope and light, especially when we are in a dark place."
