Planet Fitness Opens Second "Judgement Free" Gym in Des Plaines

DES PLAINES, IL (January 27, 2020) – Planet Fitness, one of the largest and fastest-growing global franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand, announced the grand opening of its second Des Plaines Planet Fitness and celebratory grand opening event from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 30 at 1555 Lee Street.

As an official partner of the Chicago Bulls, Planet Fitness will be providing attendees the opportunity to meet the Luvabulls dance team and take photos with the Chicago Bulls championship trophies. Guests will also enjoy complimentary food, giveaways and prizes from the prize wheel, including tickets to a VIP package for a Chicago Bulls game, additional Bulls game tickets, a Bulls autographed basketball, and so much more. A ribbon cutting with local Des Plaines officials is slated to begin at 5 p.m.

Additionally, Planet Fitness will be donating $2,500 to the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce’s Veteran’s Back to Work Boot Camp, with a check presentation during the grand opening event. This organization was designed to provide military veterans with the tools for success and a seamless transition into a meaningful career.

The new 20,764 sq. foot location offers state of the art cardio machines and strength equipment, PF360, 30-Minute Express Circuit, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, numerous flat screen televisions, HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, tanning beds, a Total Body Enhancement booth, and more. The facility is open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
