READINGTON -- Andrew Garibaldi, a Hunterdon Central grad in 2012 and a current starter on Carnegie Mellon University's football team will be playing Sunday in the 2015 Eastern College Athletic Conference Legacy Bowl Championship.

Garibaldi, who wears No. 64, was just named to the President's Athletic Conference's 2015 All-PAC First Team (Offense) as a player at the Pittsburgh university.

He's been the starting offensive center at CMU for both his junior and senior years.

"CMU had an incredible football season this year including a huge win over University of Chicago (52-7) and an even bigger win over a nationally ranked Number 22 Case Western University this past weekend (52-42) to win the Academic Bowl," his father Pete Garibaldi said. The team finished the regular season with a 7-3 record and shares the University Athletic Association title.

The Legacy Bowl at noon Sunday is a Division III game. CMU will play Bridgewater State University at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Connecticut.

Andrew, a senior, has maintained a 3.5 GPA as a mechanical engineering major at CMU.

He started playing football with the Flemington Falcons under Coach Mike Moloff, then played for the Hunterdon Central Red Devils under Coach Matt Perotti and has played all four years at Carnegie Mellon University under Coach Rich Lackner.
