Accident on Interstate 380 near Glass Road injures one

An accident on Interstate 380 in Cedar Rapids between a car and a semitractor-trailer truck injured one person on Monday afternoon.

Cedar Rapids Police officers responded to the accident in the northbound lanes of the highway near the Glass Road accident. The left lanes of the roadway were blocked by the crash and emergency vehicles in response.

One person in one of the vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries, though officials did not release a name or which vehicle they were in.

Drivers are advised to use caution in the area, or to find an alternate route.
