Chris Hardwick Scores 'America's Got Talent' Judge Gig Despite Sex Abuse Scandal

NBC has just announced Chris Hardwick will appear as a guest judge on America's Got Talent on Aug. 7 despite his ongoing sex abuse scandal.
The network also announced Hardwick will return as host of Season 3 of The Wall this fall.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Hardwick was forced to step away from his gigs as host of Talking Dead and as a moderator at Comic-Con after his ex-girlfriend, Chloe Dykstra, suggested the 46-year-old star sexually assaulted her.
Dykstra, 29, recently penned and published an essay about a "mildly successful podcaster" she titled Rose-Colored Glasses: A Confession, and she detailed in the piece how she dated a man "almost 20 years my senior"
She also accused the mystery man of pressuring her into sex, though she later admitted that she "did go along with it out of fear of losing him."
"After three years of being snapped/yelled at constantly, very rarely being shown any affection-I finally left him," she wrote.
Dykstra and Hardwick dated between 2014 and 2016. He is currently married to model Lydia Hearst, 33.
"These allegations about Chris Hardwick took us by surprise as we have had a positive working relationship with him," NBC said in a statement shortly after the news broke in June. "However, we take allegations of misconduct very seriously. Production on The Wall does not begin until September, and in the meantime we are continuing to assess the situation and will take appropriate action based on the outcome."
Hardwick, who has also now returned to his gig on AMC's Talking, had denied allegations of sexual misconduct.
