Bruce Willis sells house on Parrot Cay for $27million

A property owned by actor Bruce Willis in Turks and Caicos has sold for $27 million
Actor Bruce Willis and his wife Emma Heming-Willis have sold their sprawling Turks and Caicos compound for $27 million, according to the listing agent.

That’s about 18% less than the $33 million he was asking in March.

Willis bought the 7.3-acre property in 2000 and spent four years erecting a coastal compound fit for a king. Found on the island of Parrot Cay, the getaway boasts three wood-covered homes that combine for 13,500 square feet of Asian-inspired interiors, according to agent Nina Siegenthaler of Turks and Caicos Sotheby’s International Realty. There is a five-bedroom main house, a yoga pavilion and two guest casitas.

The deal came close to a record-setting price for Turks and Caicos. The record was set in 2016 by the $27.5 million sale of a nearby property known as Oliver’s Cove, which included a main house and an adjacent parcel of land, Ms. Siegenthaler said.

Mr. Willis, who is known for his roles in movies like “Die Hard” and “The Sixth Sense”, bought the site in 2000 and completed the home in 2004. He and Ms. Heming-Willis married there about a decade ago. They often vacationed on the island, spending birthdays and Christmases there.

“For the past 20 years, we’ve made so many beautiful memories on the island,” the couple said in a statement.

Ms. Siegenthaler said the couple are selling as part of a relocation to California. Their 22-acre Bedford Corners, N.Y., compound, comprising four houses, is on the market for just over $9 million.

Ms. Siegenthaler brokered the deal with colleague Joe Zahm.

No stranger to high-profile home sales, Willis dealt his 1920s Spanish-style mansion in Beverly Hills for $16.5 million in 2014. More recently, he trimmed the price of his 22-acre estate in Bedford Corners, N.Y., from $12.95 million to $9.39 million. The Caribbean sale was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.
