Obituary: ​Sharon Hamilton Esposito, of Branford

She retired from the Knights of Columbus where she had worked as an administrative assistant for many years.

Sharon Hamilton Esposito of Branford died Monday October 8, 2018 at Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven. Sharon was born in New Haven November 3, 1955, daughter of Raymond and Shirley Mercer Hamilton of Meriden. She retired from the Knights of Columbus where she had worked as an administrative assistant for many years.

Sharon was an avid sports fan, especially of the New York Mets, UConn women’s basketball, and the Connecticut Sun. She also loved hockey and was a big fan of the former New Haven Nighthawks AHL team. In addition to sports, Sharon enjoyed her trips to the casino and her many shopping trips. Besides her parents, Sharon is survived by her sister Jeanne (Jeff) Kazzi of East Haven; her niece Leanne Hay, nephew Kevin Hay and great-nephew Aaron Hay, all of California.

She is also survived by many cousins and friends, and her beloved cat Corey. Her family would like to thank the staff at Smilow Cancer Hospital, especially Dr. Sznol.Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service Friday morning at 11:00, with visitation one-hour prior from 10:00 - 11:00, at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford.
