English teacher and mom-of-one, 22, ‘used sexts to lure teen student’ and later ‘sent nude pics online’
A HIGH school teacher was arrested today after she allegedly romped with her 16-year-old student and as well as sending him obscene images of herself.
Anna Patton, 22, who taught at Lamar High School, South Carolina, allegedly groomed the boy on social media and through texts.
The English teacher who has a child of her own, is also accused of sending the 16-year-old student nude photos of herself.
Patton was taken into custody based on evidence gathered by cops in the course of the investigation after they interviewed the alleged victim.
She faces charges of sexual battery with a student 16 to 17 years of age, disseminating obscene material to a person under 18 years and criminal solicitation of a minor, WMBF News reports.
According to arrest warrants from the Darlington County Sheriff's Office, between October 1, 2019, and January 11, 2020, she had sexual intercourse and oral sex with the teenage boy.
Following her arrest, Patton was suspended pending the outcome of the case.
A Darlington County School District spokesman said: “The safety of our students is our highest priority.
“The district is cooperating fully with the law enforcement investigation.”

According to Patton’s Facebook page, she was hired as a teacher at Lamar High School in July 7, 2019.
She graduated from Francis Marion University, a small liberal arts college in South Carolina in the spring of 2019 after writing her honors thesis on the use of Nazi propaganda in German schools during the Third Reich.
During her time in college, Patton was the vice president of FMU Honors, a South Carolina Teaching Fellow.
She was said to have also been on the board of directors of a charity helping foster families.
