FISHERS, Ind. -- It’s something every kid dreams of – ruling the school. On Friday, Sept. 22, at Fishers High School, students will have their chance.

The second annual Student Choice Day will feature more than 200 different classes and opportunities for students to learn exactly what they want.

Classes range from Coffee 101, Backpacking Through Europe, Fun with Photoshop and ‘Make & Take’ Friendship Bracelets. Many of the classes will be taught by students.

The idea behind this unique day is to allow students to learn and teach what they feel is important to know before entering the real world.

In addition to the various classes being offered, Fishers High School is hosting The High School Nation Tour, a free two-hour music and arts assembly.

Fishers High School is one of only 60 schools in the country to offer this event in 2017.

The tour will provide students with one-of-a-kind interactive activities, such as drum lessons, learn how to DJ, paint on canvas, mix live stage sound, interview artists and attend a live concert featuring Drake Bell.

High School Nation also makes generous donations to each school on the tour to ensure students will have continued opportunities to learn about arts and entertainment.

Classes begin at 8 a.m. The concert will take place at 12:50 p.m.
