Everybody knows her name!

Former “Cheers” actress Rhea Perlman, 66, has been cast to star in season 3 of Fox’s “The Mindy Project,” TVLine reported.

The television vet is set to play the role of Danny’s mother, played by 39-year-old actor Chris Messina.

Mindy Kaling, the star and executive producer of the hit comedy, hinted at Perlman’s arrival during Television Critics Association summer press tour.

“The wonderful thing about the character is the trope of the mother-in-law-type figure who doesn’t like the girl is so pervasive, it’s like, ‘OK, how do we do a new spin on this?'” she told reporters, according to TVLine.

“As Danny has said, ‘I don’t know how to please that woman.’ So we haven’t ignored her own relationship with her two sons and her ex-husband. So we really explore a lot.”

Perlman’s reported casting news as Annette Castellano is a possible foreshadow to a “Cheers” reunion as the role of Danny’s dad, Alan Castellano, was played by Dan Hedaya in season 2.

Hedaya, 73, also happened to play the part of Perlman’s character Carla’s ex-husband, Nick Tortelli, decades ago on the ’80s sitcom.

“The Mindy Project” premieres Tues., Sept. 16 on Fox.
