All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren
On the ZOOM platform, a meeting was held on the conduct of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren for the 2021/22 academic year.
Petrozavodsk State University traditionally takes part in organizing and conducting the regional stage of the Olympiad, which begins immediately after the New Year holidays, and also accompanies the holding of the municipal stage of the Olympiad.
Participants of the municipal stage of the Olympiad among schoolchildren of Karelia are sent to the regional stage of the Olympiad according to the quota and the number of points in each general education subject and class required for participation at the regional level, established by the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Karelia.
The organizing committee of the Olympiad from PetrSU includes Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs K.G. Tarasov and the head of the Department of pre-university and career guidance work Yu.V. Semenova.
All subject-methodological commissions and the jury of the Olympiad are formed from among the teaching staff of PetrSU.

At the meeting, the chairmen were announced the terms according to which members of the subject-methodological commissions would have to develop and approve tasks and requirements for tasks for the municipal stage of the Olympiad.
They also discussed the timing of the Organizing Committee of the Olympiad, which will be held in December and will be dedicated to the regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren. In the 2020-21 academic year, 713 schoolchildren of Karelia took part in the regional stage of the Olympiad.
