Beverly Angello Obituary

Beverly E. Angello, 94, of Westline, passed away Saturday (March 18, 2017) at her son's home in Westline, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on Aug. 2, 1922 in Frankfort, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Clovis and Leota Pickard Malicoat.
She was a 1940 graduate of Frankfort High School. She moved to Indianapolis following high school and attended beauty school, against her wishes, but which probably accounted for her impeccable taste. While earning her beautician certificate, she also was a secretary at P. R. Mallory.
In 1942 she met a dashing young serviceman, George A. Angello Sr., at a USO dance. He swept her off her feet and she entranced him. They were married May 14, 1943, in Indianapolis.
George was honorably discharged from the service shortly after their marriage and they traveled by train to his home town, Bradford, where they spent most of their 44 years of married life.
Beverly successfully juggled being a wife, homemaker, and mom to three lively boys, and a working woman as a secretary to a Pennzoil bulk oil distributor. She managed these roles "alone" when Dad was commuting to his job in Hornell, N.Y. After the boys left home, George and Beverly moved to Hornell where he taught high school business and she worked as secretary at Partridge Insurance. They retired to Sarasota, Fla., in 1982. Whether in Bradford, Hornell or Sarasota, they always made many good friends with whom they often enjoyed socializing and dancing.
Beverly lived independently in Sarasota until about three years ago, when she moved back to the Bradford area to reside with her youngest son, Michael, and his wife, Mary, in Westline.
She set an example for how to be loving and yet demand that everyone in her family try to reach their potential. She was always there when needed. She was a strong, elegant woman and the Matriarch of her family. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are three sons: John (Nancy) Angello of Seattle, Wash., George (Carolyn) Angello Jr., of Sarasota, Fla., and Michael (Mary) Angello of Westline; six grandchildren: Michele Angello (Marla Cobin), Michael (Dina) Angello Jr., Toni Marie (James) Wheeler, George (Sandy) Angello III, Jonathan (Rita) Angello, and Janine (Brian) Hottovy; 11 great-grandchildren: Marah, Kayla, Malia, Bianca, Hayden, Alec, Camaryn, Jamison, George IV, Micah, Silvia; one sister Sue (Dan) Hayes in California; one brother-in-law, Phillip Angello of Sarasota, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Billy Malicoat, and one sister, Jean Sharp.
Family will receive friends from 9:15 to 10 a.m. on April 8 in St. Bernard Church, and at 10 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by the Very Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
Memorials if desired may be made to the Kinzua Valley Trail Association % 33 CCC Road, Westline PA 16740, or any hospice program of your choice.
