NFL love story leads to quiet engagement

The biggest play of long snapper Matt Overton’s life didn’t take place on the football field.

In April, the former Colts player proposed to girlfriend Breanna Fonner, a former Indianapolis cheerleader, who was a member of the Colts’ squad for six seasons.

“Our future starts here,” Fonner posted on Instagram at the time.

While the couple has enjoyed engagement bliss under the radar for the past few months, the exciting news spread on social media over the weekend, when Overton, who signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in March, practiced his first dance with Fonner at a Thomas Rhett concert.

“Wedding Prep. Don’t mind us. @breannafonner & I just casually practicing for our first dance. I need the work,” Overton posted, along with a clip of his moves.

Perhaps country singer Rhett can give Overton a few pointers before the big day.
