Deputies are still searching for information about the death of a man in Frederick County nearly two years ago.

On the morning of April 2, 2017, a man, identified as Ty Ledford Carper, was found dead around 11 a.m. near the 600 block of Passage Rd. in Stephens City.

At the time, the Frederick County Sheriff's Office said Carper had died elsewhere and then been placed on the road where he was found.

For the past two years, deputies have continuously sought leads, but they're asking the public for any information on events leading up to the discovery of Carper's body that morning.

They say he may have been in a silver passenger car the day before, on April 1, 2017.

If you have any information, you're asked to contact Investigator R.T. Swartz at 540-504-6577, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office at 540-662-6162, or Winchester Frederick Clarke Crime Solvers anonymously at 540-665-TIPS, or submit an anonymous tip using the P3 App. Reference 17001686.
