TOWN AND COUNTRY, Mo. – Carats and cocktails…

A new kind of concept is coming to Town and Country next month. The Diamond Bar is St. Louis’ first luxury jewelry shop with a fully stocked bar.

It’ll open its doors on May 14 at 10 a.m. at 13360 Clayton Road. There will be a grand opening celebration on June 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be live music, wine and bourbon tastings, a dessert bar, kids’ activities and an opportunity to view the showroom where attendees can shop from an extensive collection of diamonds, gems, and one-of-a-kind pieces. Each piece can be customized.

The Diamond Bar features 906 square-feet of showroom space and a patio, allowing customers to look around and learn about a wide variety of unique pieces, while enjoying a beverage.

“We are creating a space that bridges the gap between the traditional and online jewelry store,” said Founder and expert craftsman, Chris Phillips. “The Diamond Bar offers a place where people can browse in a relaxed atmosphere and truly be informed about their purchases. Our emphasis is on education and customization; our goal is to create an environment that is luxurious, yet laid back.”

Phillips, a lifelong jeweler who handcrafts and designs many pieces himself and spent almost two decades in the jewelry business before conceiving The Diamond Bar, plans to host regular events for customers and prospects—from rose gold and rosé girls’ nights to bourbon tastings for men who may be getting ready to pop the question.

“Transparency for the consumer is one of our biggest differentiators,” said Phillips. “The bar adds to the no-pressure atmosphere and creates an intimate ambiance you won’t find in other jewelry shops. Our “bartenders” are expert jewelry professionals who can pour you a drink and answer any question you have. We get to know our customers—from their favorite cocktail garnish to the cut they prefer.”
