'Military Mistress' faces more charges in Wyoming

Military Mistress

This undated law enforcement booking combination photo provided by the Marion County, Ore., Sheriff's Office shows Bobbi Ann Finley of Dallas, Ore., 39, and her husband Zackerie House, 27. Authorities are searching for the pair, saying Finley and her husband have been writing fraudulent checks in three states. Finley, dubbed the "Military Mistress," got her nickname in 2010 when national news outlets spotlighted allegations she went from one military base to the next, marrying service members to gain access to their bank accounts. In all, she married 14 U.S. service members.

Wyoming is likely joining the list of states charging the so-called Military Mistress and her current husband with check fraud.

The Casper Star Tribune reports employees at Murdoch's Ranch & Home Supply told Casper Police 39-year-old Bobbi House wrote more than $1,000 in bad checks at the store.

House is accused of marrying at least a dozen military servicemen to gain access to their bank accounts, and is wanted along with her husband, 27-year-old Zachary House, for check fraud in Colorado, Oklahoma and Oregon. The two were arrested in Alabama last week, but were released before investigators realized who they were.

The Wyoming investigation is being handled by Evansville Police.
