Highway motorcycle crash injures Oklahoma man east of Quinter

QUINTER — An Oklahoma man was injured in a motorcycle crash Sunday morning on Interstate Highway 70 about five miles east of Quinter.

According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Shawn Carson, 47, of Guthrie, Okla., was riding a BMW motorcycle east on I-70 at about 11:40 a.m. Sunday when he lost control. The motorcycle went onto its side. Carson was ejected, and the motorcycle rolled.

Carson was taken to Gove County Medical Center with injuries, according to the report. No information was available Sunday afternoon about his condition.

The report said Carson was wearing a helmet.
