Perfect World has just unveiled the first details on the upcoming Broken Silence expansion for the RaiderZ MMORPG.

The new expansion comes with a buckload of new features, gear, bosses and new areas to explore. Obviously, we expect some bug fixes to be included in the update as well, though no details have been disclosed on these yet.

“We're raising the level cap, we're adding new zones, new gear, and of course, more epic boss fights for hunters to discover and master. These are all additions that our players have been clamoring for, and we're happy to give it to them!” said Senior Producer Mark Hill.

The upcoming RaiderZ: Broken Silence raises level cap to 40 so players can access the new areas included in the update.

Speaking of which, this expansion introduced a new map, Cowen Marsh: “once a beautiful, lush, and vibrant region full of life. However, recent contamination has turned this area into a toxic wasteland seeping throughout and into the sacred Temple of Renas. Rendel Knights were dispatched to investigate the cause and eliminate it. However, none have returned - will you succeed?”

With new maps come new bosses and new gear. Within the new Cowen Marsh Area, players will encounter mutated creatures that have gained elemental powers and powerful abilities.

Players will be able to loot new undiscovered treasures from fallen warriors and enemies while exploring Cowen Marsh.

The new gear is more powerful than current equipment in order to make it easier for players to hunt the new beasts in the new area.

There's more to it as Broken Silence expansion will also introduce a new PvP Battle Arena featuring a new “Wave System” mechanic.

According to developers, the newly introduced mechanic is able to find individuals and groups hunting down large packs of deadly monsters, and features an improved party matchmaking system.

UPDATE: We've reached out to developers for an ETA and we've been informed that an exact release date has yet to be finalized, but it will be "in the coming months."
