Three men aged between 20 and 28 were arrested at Ngolo locality and Ngangelizwe in Mthatha during an operation that was conducted by Ngangelizwe Detectives, Vispol, CI and Flying Squad in the early hours of 2 August 2018.
The suspects were wanted for cases ranging from murder, attempted murder, armed robberies and business robberies and were targeting foreign nationals.
A 9mm star pistol, with its serial numbers filed off with three rounds of ammunition was confiscated from them. They will appear before Mthatha Magistrate’s Court on 3 August 2018.
The Acting Cluster Commander Brigadier Nomawethu Makonza praised these members and said “Let us profile the suspects to establish if they can be linked to other robberies and murders as this will assist us in solving a number of cases.
