San Francisco police have released a video of a suspect and vehicle sought in a hit-and-run collision that killed a 58-year-old woman early Wednesday.

The collision was reported around 3:25 a.m. at the intersection of Bush and Leavenworth streets, at the south edge of the Nob Hill neighborhood.

The victim, identified by the medical examiner’s office as San Francisco resident Teresita Collins, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and died of her injuries there.

The video, from a surveillance camera, shows an obscured view of the moments immediately after the crash: A small dark car stops in the middle of Leavenworth about 50 yards past the intersection. The driver, who appears to be female, gets out and walks into the street. She looks back toward Bush Street, then returns to the car and drives away.

The driver has dark hair and is wearing a gray hip-length jacket and black pants.

Anyone who recognizes the vehicle or suspect is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” at the start of the message.
