Ridgewood Valet Service Might Begin Soon

A few issues have to be worked out before the service goes live, officials said.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The new valet service in the Central Business District might begin this week, but a few things have to be worked out first, officials said.

Village Administrator Heather Mailander said officials would have a better idea if the issues have been worked out by Wednesday.

LAZ Parking will offer the service from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights at the bus station on Van Neste Square. Vehicles will be dropped off on one side of the median and picked up on the other.

The service will cost $5 per vehicle. Certain merchants may validate customer parking, Mailander said.

Customers can receive a warning on their phones 30 minutes before service stops, Mailander said.
