The Indianapolis Symphony named a 28-year-old Pole, Krzysztof Urbanski, as its music director, starting in September. Mr. Urbanski, who succeeds Mario Venzago, graduated from the Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw just three years ago and was named chief conductor of the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra in Norway in 2009.
