Martin Lawrence fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the comedian perform in Oakland.
Lawrence’s show at the Oakland Arena, originally scheduled for April 11, is among the tour dates that have been postponed “in light of the continuing concerns about COVID-19 (coronavirus),” according to a news release.
The reschedule date is TBA. Ticket holders are being asked to hold onto their show tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled date.
“I am disappointed to postpone dates on the LIT AF tour but the health and safety of my fans is a priority.” Lawrence says in the news release. “New dates will be announced once we all have more information.”
Lawrence is known for appearing in several hit movies, including the “Big Momma” films and the “Bad Boys” series (including the recent sequel “Bad Boys for Life”).
According to an earlier tour announcement, Lawrence’s tour was also to feature such special guests as Rickey Smiley, Lil Duval, Lil Rel, Hannibal Burress, Adele Givens, DeRay Davis and Michael Blackson.
