Sheryl Sandberg has been pictured boarding a private jet with her new billionaire boyfriend Bobby Kotick outside his Los Angeles home.

The Facebook COO was seen with gaming executive Kotick, who owns franchises such as Call Of Duty, over the weekend at various Oscar parties, and the two have been friends for years.

On Wednesday, the first pictures emerged of the pair in a more intimate setting: wearing sweats and carrying breakfast while they ambled over to Kotick's private jet with a number of hefty suitcases.

The romance, first reported by Page Six, comes ten months after Sandberg's husband Dave, 47, died after suffering head trauma and blood loss following a fall off a treadmill due to a heart arrhythmia while he and his wife were on vacation in Mexico.

Looking trim, Sandberg wore fitted sweatpants, a dusky blue top, with her hair down, as she carried a plastic box of snacks and a hot drink.

Kotick followed her in drawstring sweats and a slouchy white tee, holding a belt perhaps for another outfit to wear when they land.

It was not clear where the couple were flying to.

'Sheryl and Bobby have known each other for many years, through attending events like the Allen & Co. conference, but have only been dating for a few weeks. Things are very new,' a source told Page Six to confirm the romance earlier this week.

Kotick is the CEO of Activision Blizzard, a video game publishing company that owns the hugely successful Call of Duty and World of Warcraft among other titles, and is worth an estimated $4billion.

Activision also just acquired King Games last week, the people behind the very popular and very addictive Candy Crush.

Kotick, 53, is divorced with two teenage children and lives in California.

Sandberg, 46, has a young son and daughter from her marriage to Dave, who was her second husband.

She is worth an estimated $1.1billion and in addition to her role at Facebook also wrote the book Lean In.

Sandberg wrote about her husband in November in a touching Facebook post, saying; 'After the loss of my husband Dave Goldberg, there were days when gratitude seemed beyond my grasp.

'But as the months have gone by, I’ve realized that I still have so much to be grateful for.'

Sandberg went on to write in her post: 'This Thanksgiving, I want to thank my family and friends who have supported and comforted me and my children as we have recovered from grief, regained our smiles and the ability to laugh, and rediscovered all that we have to be grateful for.

'I also appreciate the many strangers who have reached out and shared their stories of tragedy, resilience, and rebirth. And I want to say a special thank you to the team at Kara Grief Counseling in Palo Alto who did so much to help move us forward.

'On this day of thanks, I hope that everyone out there can find something worthy of gratitude. Loss and recovery are an inevitable part of being human, and I realize more and more that these experiences which take so much from us also give us the ability to be grateful on a deeper level.'
