Hammond police investigating Saturday morning bank robbery
The Hammond Police Department says a man robbed a bank Saturday morning.Police say they received a call at about 11:50 a.m. from First Guaranty Bank stating that it had just been robbed.The man gave the teller a note stating he wished to rob that bank and had a gun, according to police.The man received money and left the bank, police say.Police describe the man as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150 pounds and in his mid-50s.The man drove an early '90s dark red or maroon Dodge Dakota with black lining and black bed liner, police say.
