An agent was assaulted while apprehending a group of undocumented immigrants on Friday near Encino, Texas.
According to a report, an agent assigned to the Border Patrol Search, Trauma and Rescue Team, or BORSTAR, was assaulted.
While attempting to evade arrest, according to the report, a Guatemalan national kicked the agent in the face and chest.
Authorities said the agent was able to recover from the attack and subdue the man.
The report stated that a total of 11 undocumented immigrants were apprehended, including the man who attacked the agent.
The agent was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and was later released.
Officials said all the subjects apprehended will be processed accordingly.
