Five Accused Of Drunk Driving After Crashes: NYSP

State police from Troop K said they removed 24 impaired drivers from the roads over the weekend.

MID-HUDSON, NY — State police from Troop K said they removed 24 impaired drivers from the roads over the weekend. Five of the arrests in the mid-Hudson Valley took place after car crashes.

On December 14, State Police from SP Wappinger arrested Donna M. Zeller, 63, of Fishkill, NY, for DWI. She was traveling on Main Street in the village of Fishkill, when she was involved in a motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, police allege.

On December 15, State Police from SP East Fishkill arrested Christopher J. Kelly, 27, of Mahopac, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of East Fishkill, when he left the roadway and overturned his vehicle. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police said.

On December 15, State Police from SP Stormville arrested Cori Plaza, 44, of Union Vale, NY, for DWI. She was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of East Fishkill, when she was involved in a one-car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, police said.

On December 15, State Police from SP Livingston arrested Liam J. Kelly, 38, of Rhinebeck, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on County Route 19 in the town of Livingston, when he was involved in a one-car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police said.

On December 16, State Police from SP East Fishkill arrested Dominic D. Castaneda, 38, of Boynton Beach, FL, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of East Fishkill, when he was involved in a one-car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police said.
