And you thought summer would provide a break from Ryan Seacrest. Nope. The ubiquitous TV host returns to preside over yet another reality series in “Knock Knock Live.” Unsuspecting people answering their doors have a chance to win prizes or once-in-a-lifetime experiences. 9 p.m., Fox.

Wednesday

“Home Free” is a new reality series in which couples are challenged to renovate a rundown house with the hopes of ultimately winning their own dream home. Contractor Mike Holmes is the host. 9 p.m., Fox.

Seekonk residents Pat and Joan Cronin are featured on "Going RV" along with their four children. The family decides to ditch ordinary daily life for an adventure on the open road. 10 p.m., Great American Country.

“Last Comic Standing” returns to give a new batch of jokesters a chance to make us laugh and win $250,000 in the process. This season’s judges include Roseanne Barr, Keenen Ivory Wayans and Norm MacDonald. 9 p.m., NBC.

Thursday

It’s lights out in “Wayward Pines” as the creepy saga ends its first season. When the town’s electricity gets turned off, Ethan (Matt Dillon) and Kate (Carla Gugino) take drastic measures to protect as many people as possible. 9 p.m., Fox.

Friday

“The Messengers,” a pre-Apocalypse drama, wraps things up after just one season of subpar ratings. Apparently, not enough viewers got the message. 9 p.m., The CW.

Saturday

OK, so you survived the latest Sharknado, but are you ready for “Lavalantula”? This latest campy creature feature has Steve Guttenberg fighting off a huge swarm of fire-breathing tarantulas that emerge from volcanos in Los Angeles. 9 p.m., Syfy.

Sunday

Jane Lynch hosts two contestants who lead a team of celebrities — Josh Groban, Cheryl Hines, Jerry Ferrara, Ciara, Michael Chiklis and Wanda Sykes — in hopes of winning $25,000 in "Hollywood Game Night." 7 p.m., NBC.

Monday

In "Major Crimes," Capt. Raydor (Mary McDonnell) and her division are forced into partnership with a potentially corrupt FBI agent. Meanwhile, Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) has a breakthrough in the "Alice" case. 9 p.m., TNT.
