This week's EastEnders kicked off with a shock β€” and we don't mean because Tracey got a line in the first few minutes.

After Stacey Slater did something very naughty with Max Branning over Christmas, Martin Fowler has been building up to explode, and tonight (January 22) we saw it happen.

A tense conversation with Stacey soon escalated into a blazing row, and when Stacey tried to deliver an ultimatum that Martin was going to have to move out, he took matters (and Stacey) into his own hands β€” by literally dragging her out the front door and throwing her onto the street.

Martin shouted to the whole square that Stacey had slept with Max, and that he's not letting Stacey have the house, or the kids.

It was a dramatic scene, and viewers were torn on whether Martin was just standing up for himself, or he took it too far by getting physical and making a decision over kids that aren't his:

Is this really the end of this couple? We, for one, really really hope it's not.

EastEnders continues tomorrow (Tuesday 23) at 7.30pm on BBC One.
