He had maintained his innocence right up until a jury found him guilty of running a ponzi scheme that cost investors millions. on Friday, former WFAN morning host Craig Carton posted an apology to his TwitLonger account that comes pretty close to him admitting he was guilty.
“I wanted to take a moment to check in and thank the thousands of you who have sent me your well wishes and prayers. I don’t deserve your kind thoughts at this stage of my life and while I appreciate them more than words could ever describe, I would kindly ask that you do the same for those who I have hurt as a result of my actions; family members, friends, co-workers, investors and loyal listeners. I let all of you down, I betrayed your trust and I’m sorry.
Last month a jury believed Carton raised over $4 million from investors, that was supposed to be used to re-sell tickets, and instead he used that money to pay off gambling debts and early investors. Carton was convicted of conspiracy, securities fraud, and wire fraud. The trial lasted one week and at sentencing on February 27 Carton faces up to 45 years in prison. In November Carton said he would be appealing the guilty verdict.

If you are allowed to gain some semblance of freedom, use that time to find a humanity type cause that you can use you platforms for which you can be an advocate. Travel the country, speak from the heart, truly dedicate your self on a full time basis (ie Jerry Lewis) “let your fame work toward a greater healing for others”. I listened to you for a long time and I for one think you are far more “in tune” than your radio act allowed you to show. I think this could be a blessing for you, your family and most importantly all those you can help in whatever genera you choose. God bless you!

We have all made errors in judgement ,even at 50…Hang in there brother, sending Prayers your way….
He is looking at going away for at least a decade minimum. Meli got six and change but I believe carton was the big kahuna they were after from the get go. They had no defense and usually cases where there is that much overwhelming evidence they don’t make it inside the court room.

Seems like old BALL TURD BOY has finally woken up. I believe it would be pointless to do any appeal of his conviction .
This may be the smartest thing he has done so far. Putz should have plead out and hoped for a DEAL/DEAL!
