Arizona Cardinals not the worst in Week 7 NFL Power Rankings, thanks to one truly incompetent team

The Week 7 NFL Power Rankings have the Cardinals just outside of the worst in the NFL.

Coming off a 27-17 loss and being 1-5 on the season usually means that you are the worst team in the NFL.

Except, in the 2018 NFL season, the have nots are quite extensive.

When you look at the one win NFL teams, and where they fall in the newest 2018 NFL Power Rankings, it tells you a little bit of a story, let’s take a look.

From Vinnie Iver of Sporting News:

28. San Francisco 49ers
29. New York Giants
30. Indianapolis Colts
31. Arizona Cardinals
32. Oakland Raiders

The thing here is I am not sure the Giants are better than the Cardinals. They have a more productive offense, but their defense, lead by former Cardinals DC James Bettcher is worse. The rest, I can agree with. I said last night, if Matt Breida is healthy for the game against the Cardinals, who wins?

ESPN Week 7 NFL Power Rankings:

27. Indianapolis Colts
29. New York Giants
30. San Francisco 49ers
31. Arizona Cardinals
32. Oakland Raiders

The Colts get a bit of a boost this week, getting placed over the 2-4 Buffalo Bills. The Bills are the wrench in the plans to compare one win teams, because even though they have double the wins of the rest of this group, a lot of sites don’t think they are any good.

Elliot Harrison, NFL.com:

27. New York Giants
29. Indianapolis Colts
30. Arizona Cardinals
31. San Francisco 49ers
32. Oakland Raiders

The Giants get the boost over the Bills according to Elliot Harrison this week, while the Cardinals are above both Bay Area teams this week. I guess the Cardinals did beat the 49ers, so they have the edge in head-to-head for now.

Rebecca Toback, SB Nation:

25. San Francisco 49ers
28. Indianapolis Colts
30. New York Giants
31. Arizona Cardinals
32. Oakland Raiders

Rebecca saw enough last night to give the 49ers a huge boost up the rankings, moving the 49ers over the likes of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Denver Broncos. The Colts get the benefit of the doubt over the Bills, and the Raiders preserve the Cardinals place outside of the worst in the NFL.

Could the week 11 matchup of the Cardinals vs the Raiders in Glendale be the deciding factor on who picks first in the 2019 NFL Draft?

More on that later, but for this week, the Cardinals are not at the bottom.
